CARIFESTA XII brings the spotlight to Haiti. Here’s a report from Haiti Libre.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Evans Paul took part, accompanied among others by the Ministers of Culture, Dithny Joan Raton, of the Tourism and Creative Industries, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, to a cocktail dinner at the Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien (MUPANAH) to honor the various delegations present in Haiti for the 12th edition the Caribbean Festival of arts (Carifesta XII), held from 21 to 30 August.
The head of government addressed in the same sense as the Minister of Culture to recognize that Haiti is currently the cultural capital of the Caribbean. In addition, Prime Minister Paul humbly said that Haiti is only the host of the 12th edition of Carifesta, but we all took part in the planning of the event.
